Long Tail Keywords

Niche marketing on the internet can get annoying at times. Looking for the finest information we want but hardly get the results we want. Or, we are on the Internet but no one is finding us. There is an option on solving this problem and it is really quite simple. That is where the using long tail keywords come into play or using long tail niche marketing. To draw highly targeted niche traffic to your site with high paying keywords.

What exactly is this concept of long tail niche marketing? When someone enters words into a search engine, they try to be as concise as possible. We’ve been taught that the fewer words we use, the more targeted our search and the better the results will be. This works most of the time, but the results are usually general. Using keywords and good keywords is the best thing to do for your content if you want to draw in the masses.

If you want to conduct a more detailed search, the option may be to use longer keyword phrases. People promoting their websites are trying to see if this is a useful technique. Using longer phrases targets the visitors to your blog or website business better than single keywords. Since single keywords are more general people searching for the term are competing with the same highly ranked terms. Therefore when the search is complete the same thing shows up.

Normally, it takes more than one or two words to find what you are looking for. Let’s say that you want to specifically know how to write articles for a mom’s natural living magazine. Entering keywords like “article writing” or “Natural living” may not get the targeted results you want. A few more words will have to be added to the keyword search.

Entering the phrase like, “writing articles for natural living mom’s magazine”. This phrase is longer but the results will be more exact if the person trying to attract your business is using long tail niche marketing strategies. They will optimize their content and web pages using the longer phrases that describe their niche. In that way, when these phrases are entered in the search, they will rank highly on the page of results. For that particular term or long tail keyword, this is called long tail niche marketing.

One or two word phrases are still the norm, but long tail niche marketing has a chance. For people who find it difficult to reach higher page ranks using one word keywords, this is an option that begs to be explored.

With Search engine optimization niche marketing, you’ll have to perform a bit of research to get the best results possible. Examine your keyword traffic. Use an analysis program like Google Keywords tool to determine the best keywords to use for your search. One way to get started with long tail niche marketing is to choose the most popular keywords and string them along to create a popular phrase. This is one technique that I use time and time again.

When using Keywords and long tail niche marketing, there is no way to be sure right now if you are using a good phrase without some trial and error

Long tail niche marketing involves using longer keyword phrases to drive traffic to your website. Targeted traffic is the best and in the end using high paying keyword phrases will reap your site the return in the end.

Increasing website traffic to any site and blog can be quite a challenge if one has no way of the basics of getting started in traffic building. Using the method of finding the right keywords for your site is constant and ongoing methods of helping people find relevant information on your site.  Keyword are what the searchers place in the search engines such “kite” or “shoe” to find information to what they are looking for.

So if you have a site that is completely without the right keywords to what you are trying to teach or convey. Then the search engines will not send people to your site because your content is not relevant or what the person is looking for when they submit the search.

The way to come up with the most profitable keywords for your site is to first know exactly what your site is about. This involves another basic factor - knowing what you are trying to convey. The next thing to do is to do a little research and this can be free or paid depending how much in depth you want to go.

One basic tool that you could use is Google adwords keywords research tool. I use this tool time and time again and continue to see great results from it.

But how do you use the tool?  Well let’s begin!

First you will want to got to the page that offers the tool and become familiar with the interface has to offer. And you can see that below right here.

Second you will want to enter a adword keyword into the search box and use descriptive keywords and also check the synonym box so you can get the best filtered results.

Once you get the filtered results it is best to use the first one to five keyword in each section since this is what Google is telling you at the moment as to what keywords are getting the most search traffic. Then use those words in the content of your site, and over time traffic will increase to your site.

If you do not know what keywords to target but want to use a competitor website that you would like to rank high for, check the website box and enter the website address to get filtered keyword results based on what they site is ranking high for and use those.

I hope that you enjoyed the tutorial.

Seo for the search engines- Yahoo!

Seo for the search engines- Yahoo!

As we covered in the first lesson on seo for the search engines Google, we covered many of the factors that would likely cause one to rank high in Google. Some of those search engine optimization factors include having good quality content on your site. Having great content is key for Google since they make up and send the most traffic to sites. It is the largest search engine and therefore should not be taken lightly. I always say when you do decide to optimize your site, optimize your site for Google first, then the others will fall into play.

However, when and if you do decide to optimize your site for yahoo, there are a few certain seo techniques that you should consider. For one we all know that the algorithms are constantly changing and many of the search engines look at keywords in the description tag, some the header tag and so on and so forth. With yahoo you can still be rest assured that keywords are a big element that comes into play when optimizing your site for them. As with Google who loves relevant links and quality on page factors. Yahoo loves keywords placed throughout the Meta tag, title tag, and description tag about your site and especially keywords in your domain name. This lets them know what your site is about and how and where to place your site.

But don’t be too quick to think that is all there is to ranking with yahoo, because it is not. Yahoo will not even find you’re unless it is listed and has links from other sites. Directories are big and known with yahoo; try to get your site listed in as many relevant niche directories as you can. And you will find your site being listed a whole lot quicker in yahoo and ranked a little higher also. Many people pay around 200.00 to 250.00 to have their site listed in the yahoo directories. Which in my opinion can help if you get listed, but there is no guarantee that you will even if you pay the money. So if you do decide to pay make sure you have a domain keyword rich website name.

One way to see what pages if you have any listed in yahoo is to do a search using:

site:www.yoursite.com

In the search engine browser. To see what pages yahoo sees linking to your page use

linkdomain://www.yoursite.com

Yahoo owns alltheweb and AltaVista so getting listed in them you are also likely to be listed in them as well. So focus on quality keyword page factors, and off page relevant directories listings.

Search engine optimization is something that is not rocket science and can easily be learned if you are willing to put in the time. Even though I feel that there is not much time at all, because a lot of it can be learned over a short period of time, basically through normal research.

Optimization for one site is just setting up the site in a way that makes it easy for search engine spiders to crawl and find your web site. You may be wondering what exactly a spider is. Well a spider is a tool many of search engines use such as Msn, Google, and yahoo to examine web pages one by one to make sure they have relevant content and html coding that is favorable to finding the sites and then allowing them to be shown to online internet users.

To make sure that your site is search engine friendly you need to make sure you take a few great key issues into consideration.

Keywords: is the first issue you need to look at and complete first. Research keywords that are favorable to you target market. Use the words that are searched for the most along with some long tail keywords, which should give you good rankings.  You can find many of these tools by using free resources such a trellion, which is my favorite and it will give you a head start. Then place those keywords in the header, in beginning of your site content and use them in your domain name.

HTML coding: Make sure the coding of your website is completed by a professional, if you have no experience and want to get started right away. Although basic coding is easy to be learned. You need to make sure that many of your Meta descriptions, Meta keywords, title tag, alt tags, and anchor texts contain a good amount of keywords. This can easily be completed using your html editor. You can view the code for your site by selecting view from the page menu and then page source.

Use Sitemaps: Sitemaps help search engines easily read what you site is about and helps them to navigate your site easier along with getting it indexed quicker. Make sure to use keyword rich description also in this area.

Well there you go a couple of great search engine optimization tips to get you headed to a great start.
