Teaming up for Joint Ventures

You have probably heard the old saying: “two heads are better than one”. Have you ever thought of applying that to your business? Teaming up with other people in the same niche is a great way to expand your business while learning new skills.

You can form a joint venture with someone else create a way for you to promote your services together. You will both share in the work and the profits. For instance, maybe you are an expert in affiliate marketing and you have a friend who loves to write. You two can team up on an e-book about affiliate marketing! Or perhaps you have a friend who is awesome at creating podcast’s, have her interview you about affiliate marketing and the two of you can sell the mp3. The choices are limitless!

If you have an idea about something you would like to create but do not know anyone to team up with, start researching people that have the skills you need. Send them an email and let them know you like their work and might like to team up. You can also ask for recommendations from those you already know or put up a post on a message board about what you would like to accomplish.

Whatever method you choose to find potential co-workers, interview several people before you make any decisions; you want the project to be a success. Look at samples of the work each person has done in the past. You will also want to make sure your personalities do not clash, as you will be spending a lot of time working together.

When you find someone you are interested in working with, make sure you both understand how the work will be divided, when the deadlines will be for each step of the project, how you are going to sell your product and how the profits will be divided.

Keep looking for other joint venture opportunities as they are win-win situations – you can offer a new product or service to your current customers and the new product can also bring you a whole slew of new customers!

What’s A Ghostwriter?

What’s a Ghostwriter?

A ghostwriter is someone who writes articles, books, or other materials without taking credit for their work, instead they allow the person who paid them to put their name in the byline. Using a ghostwriter can be a good option for anyone who has difficulty writing, does not have time to write, or just wants to get more writing done.

Ghostwriters can help a business owner in many areas of their business, lightening their load and giving them quality content to use in their business. As an online business owner, you may want to use a ghostwriter for one or more of the following types of writing.

Blog Writing It is important when you have a blog to post consistently and therefore making use of a ghostwriter may be just the perfect option for you.

Article Writing Ghostwriters can create articles for virtually any topic and will help you to have quality, original articles to use for submitting to article banks, distributing to your lists or to use for your affiliate program.

Newsletter Writing This is yet another way you can make use of a good ghostwriter, by having them to compose your newsletter.

Rewriting PLR – You may already be using PLR or Private Label Rights articles and content but in order to make the best use of this type content you most likely will want to rewrite it. Maybe you don’t have time to do so, or you aren’t sure where to start. This is where a ghostwriter can come in handy, once again. They can personalize your PLR to make it perfect for your use.

Internet Marketing Overload

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

power cover cds medium Internet Marketing Overload

If you decide to visit any Internet marketing forum or blogs on the internet, you will inevitably find dozens of newbie ‘net marketers worried and intimidated that they’re being inundated with endless offers and promises of fast cash.

Information overload is creating a huge pitfall for new internet marketers who don’t yet know how to make it a profitable venture. They discover quickly that there are many roads to riches, but they don’t know which one to choose. So they end up getting distracted very easily from the main goal at hand and choose many until one follows through.

What often ends up happening is that the Internet marketing novice decides to take many paths at once to see which one has the most profit potential. This is a huge mistake, because their attention is divided and no one venture ever becomes monetized.

The ending result is that they give up, soured on the entire Internet marketing experience when all it would take to correct the mistake is focus and follow through. Those who are in the niche of teaching newbie’s how to proceed from zero to profits in the blink of an eye often recommend they buy this product and that one to get started.

And many of them most often do, continually buying the products but never actually putting the e-books or special reports to application. So many of the things learned is able to be absorbed but not taken seriously. Then one thing does not follow through because of lack of patience or the idea that you can make money instantly and quickly is just not true.

I know this because I have been there and do not want anyone else to go through the same thing. That is where focus comes into play. Once you begin to take yourself and your business seriously then what you want to happen will happen.

The Power of a Focused Business

Why use Virtual Assistants?

Being an online business owner can be quite the task. There are literally dozens of things you must juggle and maintain in your business you may begin to feel a sense of overwhelm and wonder how you’re going to get it all accomplished.

One of the best ways to help prevent this sense of overwhelm is to outsource. Outsourcing is by far a positive investment in your business. You can outsource to a virtual assistant who can help you in many areas of your business, lightening your load but at the same time allowing you to accomplish more as well.

Virtual assistants provide a wide variety of services. You can find those who specialize in specific areas while you may find others who provide a wide range of services. Some of these services include article submitting, email processing, data processing, bookkeeping, transcriptions, affiliate program management, just to name a few.

All of these tasks are things that many times as an online business owner you just do not have time to handle and be able to do everything well. Outsourcing some of these tasks to a virtual assistant can really be a positive for you and your business.

Just imagine being able to get your articles together, send them to a VA and sit back as the VA submits them to article banks, posts them to your blog, sends them to your list or whatever other way you choose to have them make use of the articles for you.

They can also help you with your overflowing email inbox, processing emails that are general or routine and allowing you to take care of the most important ones. They can even send out your newsletters or regular list correspondence on a schedule that you set.

Using a VA for bookkeeping is also a huge lifesaver, they can post your income/expenses to your bookkeeping software and help you to organize your receipts for easy use when it comes tax time.

Virtual Assistants can do all of these things and more, so it is definitely a good idea to think about hiring yourself a VA to help you keep your online business on track.

How to Balance Internet Marketing with Home Life.

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

momworkingxsmall.jpg Working at home has its own challenges that differ from working moms and dads who leave home each day and enter the business world separate from their residence. It doesn’t matter if you’re a work-at-home parent or if you don’t have kids, the challenge remains in the fact that you are solely responsible for the running of your Internet marketing business, so it needs to be done efficiently.

Parents are often plagued by more work at home pitfalls than those without kids, just because kids bring a new element into the mix that stirs up more opportunity for interruptions and sometimes means less space is available for the work area.

The first thing you want to do when trying to balance your home life with your Internet marketing business is carve out a space that is dedicated to your ‘net marketing endeavors. It doesn’t have to be a lot of space – as long as you have a corner spot to place your computer and other online accessories that you use.

It’s best if you can have a space where you can go to work on your Internet marketing ventures without distractions, but this isn’t always possible. If the noise is too much, you might consider setting off-peak hours, such as working only when the rest of the household members are in bed and you can concentrate on what you need to do.

Many Internet marketers love the flexibility they have in working from home and on the ‘net. If the kids have a soccer game, you’re free to shut down the computer and take off on a whim. If your spouse wants to take off for a weekend, then being an Internet marketer allows you to take your laptop with you and log on to check in from anywhere there’s an Internet connection.

If you’re just now considering an Internet marketing business, and want to find an option that will deliver the most balance to your home with the least amount of intrusions, then you might consider affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is one Internet marketing option that lets you simply work on driving traffic to someone else’s site. You won’t have to worry about setting up systems, creating a product, or dealing with outsourced services.

Even if you do create your own product, you should know that once a launch is complete, the system should allow for more balance because information products are more or less automated. Your site is set up to automatically process orders and deliver the buyer to a landing page where they download the product. Balance will come about through time, so take all precautions to automate your systems and outsource tasks to others.
