Sites That Generate Ad Revenue

How To Build A Network Of Websites That Generate Ad Revenue
Imagine owning a network of several websites that generate thousands of dollars each month through advertising revenue. You - or someone you hire - would supply the content.
Traffic would grow organically as a result of using smart search engine optimization strategies and other internet marketing tactics. Over time, your network becomes more popular and starts ranking competitively
in Google for a growing number of keywords. Momentum builds, traffic increases, and your income rises.
Most marketers approach this model in the wrong way and they severely limit their income. I’m going to provide you with a quick tutorial for building your network of sites for the long-term.
Choosing Your Niche
There is a lot of advice out there about choosing niches for your sites. Unfortunately, most of it is limited in scope. “Experts” will tell you that you should use the Adwords keyword tool to pick topics with high click prices. But, that assumes you’re relying upon Adsense to generate revenue. It also assumes that the niches for which Adwords advertisers are paying will maintain their popularity.
First, you should not rely upon Adsense (I’ll explain why below). Second, hundreds of niches fall out of favor - sometimes quickly - and never recover.
When choosing niches for your network of websites, keep them related. For example, suppose you’re interested in fitness. Your first site might address exercise. Your second site could cover fitness for teens. From that point, your network would expand with sites about dieting, fitness for expecting mothers, exercise equipment, nutrition, and even bodybuilding.
By creating a network of related sites and linking between them, you can attract a massive audience. What’s more, you can shuttle them back and forth. Those who are interested in exercise equipment might also be interested in bodybuilding. Expectant mothers may want to learn about both fitness and nutrition.
Not only is this important for increasing your ad revenue, but it plays perfectly into your exit strategy.
Adsense Is Only The Beginning
You may have noticed that I did not mention Adsense in the title of today’s post. There’s a good reason why. Adsense can be a fantastic way to generate revenue. However, there are severe limitations. First, you have no control over the amount you’re paid each time a visitor clicks an ad. You might be paid $1 on Monday and $.75 on Tuesday. Second, you have no room to negotiate the ad spot. Google determines how much it is worth and pays you accordingly.
When you begin building your network, use Adsense to generate income quickly and easily. But, consider it a short-term solution. You’ll want to eventually find your own advertisers to replace the Adsense ads on each of your sites. You’ll have more control and you can negotiation individual ad spot prices.
Build With The End In Mind
Most online marketers don’t start building their sites with an exit strategy in mind. Unfortunately, they squander an enormous opportunity. Let’s return to our network of fitness-related sites. By keeping your sites related, you can leverage their respective audiences, shuttling them back and forth between sites. Consider for a moment how valuable your network would be to a company that wanted to penetrate the fitness niche quickly.
Your network already has a trusting audience. Your sites are gaining authority as the number of incoming links grow. Your exposure in Google continues to improve, leading to more traffic, additional links, and increasing authority. Many media companies would love to negotiate a network-wide media buy. Other companies would love to buy your network outright.
A network of related websites that generate advertising revenue can become a valuable asset down the road. But, you must build it properly from the beginning, keeping the end in mind.

4 Secrets To Increasing Your Affiliates’ Sales Efforts
If you’re selling a product, you need to offer an affiliate program. Your affiliates can drive an enormous amount of motivated traffic to your website. Because you’re only paying them when they generate a sale (or 100 sales!), there’s no cost of producing the increased revenue. The problem is that most affiliates do not
generate many sales. For example, you may have 500 affiliates, but only 10 of them are actively promoting your product. Today, I’m going to give you 4 secrets to motivating your affiliates to increase their sales efforts.
#1 - Offer Tiered Commissions
Give your productive affiliates a larger commission than those who have yet to generate a give level of sales. Not only does this build loyalty among your affiliate base, but it motivates unproductive affiliates to promote your product more actively. For example, imagine that you sell a DVD training course for $197. You might offer a 35% commission on your affiliates’ first 5 sales, 45% commission on the next 5 sales, and 60% on every sale they generate after that.
#2 - Hold Performance-Based Contests
Your affiliates are primarily motivated by money. You can spur them to immediate action by organizing a contest with cash prizes awarded based upon their sales. Here’s how it can work: Imagine that you’re selling a product for $47. You normally give your affiliates a 50% commission. However, for the next 10 days, you’ll offer a 60% commission. Plus, the affiliate who generates the highest number of sales during those 10 days will receive an additional $200 check.
Depending upon the size of your affiliate base, the jolt in activity can drive hundreds of extra sales for your product.
#3 - Give Them A Toolbox
The easier you can make your affiliates’ job, the more active they’ll be in promoting your product. This goes far beyond giving them e-book covers and banners. Provide a toolbox with promotional emails, pay-per-click keywords, and ads. Give them small PDF reports with their affiliate links embedded within that they can give freely to their audience. For affiliates using search engine optimization strategies, provide articles that are focused on your main keywords. The more tools you can provide them, the more likely they’ll send their audience to your website.
#4 - Organize A Launch
Entire training courses have been created to teach people how to effectively organize a product launch. It is one of the most powerful marketing strategies you can use. And the success of your launch is largely upon the shoulders of your affiliates. It begins with building a buzz about your product. At the same time, you need to be in constant contact with your affiliate base, letting them know about the date you’re planning to launch.
As the buzz around your product builds, so does the excitement in your affiliates. When you finally release your product, you give your affiliates the green light. I’ve seen such launches generate over 1,000 sales in the first 24 hours.
Free, Motivated Traffic
Your affiliates hold a potent key to generating large waves of free traffic that is motivated to make a buying decision. If you’re selling your own product and have yet to offer an affiliate program, you’re not harnessing your product’s sales potential. If you already offer a program, use the 4 tips above to jump start your affiliates’ sales efforts.
In the near future, I’ll explain how you can create ongoing momentum in your affiliates’ promotional activity. Stay tuned.

Using E-Mail to Get Free Traffic
When you think of publicity, you may think of paid advertising, press releases, and the like. When you think of
email, you may think of a communication tool. They may seem very different, but you can blend the two and use email as a publicity tool.
Most email programs have a signature line option. You can create a unique signature that includes your name, phone number, slogan, website address - or anything else that comes to mind. When you choose to have the signature line option on, your email program will automatically include your signature line into outgoing messages.
If your message is going to someone who doesn’t know about your business, your signature line will give them a brief overview. And if anyone forwards your emails to other people, your signature line will be included as well.
Creating a mailing list and using an autoresponder to stay in touch with them is a great way to use email as a traffic tool. An example of this would be to create an e-course on a subject that goes along with something you are promoting. For instance, if your target market is new mothers that are interested in health topics, you can create an e-course on the health benefits of making your own organic baby food.
There are many autoresponder services to choose from, so do a little research and find one that fits your needs and budget. When you sign up with one, you will be able to create forms to gain subscribers. When you create a form, you will be given a small amount of HTML that you can install on your website or blog. An opt-in box will appear on your page, and when people fill out their name and email, they will be added to your list of subscribers.
You can write emails ahead of time and load them into your autoresponder, and as you gain subscribers your emails will automatically be sent to them. You can specify how many days apart you want the emails to be sent. Sending one email or “lesson” per day is very common with e-courses. On day 1 you can send your subscribers a welcome email, on day 2 they will receive lesson 1 of the e-course, on day 3 they will receive lesson 2 and so forth.
In each email you send, include a call to action. Using the example above, if you are creating an e-course about organic baby food, include links to other products you are promoting or selling. An example would be your affiliate link to an e-book.
People turn to the internet to gain information. Email is a great way to deliver information to them and promote your products and services at the same time.

Online Advertising

How to Make the Most of Your Online Advertising
Mention the word “advertising” and it sends a shudder down many online business owners spine. In order to be successful with online advertising there must be a number of key elements. A winning advertisement will appeal to your target audience, it will be positioned in a place where they will see the advertisement and it will have a measurable outcome.
Make the most of your advertising by appealing to your target audience. To appeal to your target audience you must invest time doing some research. To understand your audience it’s important to know not only what their problems are but what their fears, desires, and passions are. This means demographic and psychographic analysis. You can do this through keyword research or asking surveys to your consumers.
Once you understand your audience then you can craft a compelling internet advertisement which will address their concerns, needs, and desires. A successful online advertisement doesn’t need to capture your audiences’ imagination and sell them your brand image. What it does need to do is capture their attention, make a compelling promise, back it up with some proof or credibility and then provide them some means to act - a measurable call to action. “Purchase now.” “Visit this site to claim your free report,”
The second phase of online making - the most of your advertising is by placing your advertisement in a location where your target audience will see it. This involves both research and trial and error on your part. Locate sites that are complimentary in your niche to advertise on. Consider what your customer might do before or after they make a purchase from you.
Also look to find out where your competition is advertising. If they’re advertising on certain sites then you know you may have success there too.
The closing element in making the most of your advertising is to make sure you can track and calculate results. The only way to know if your advertisement is hitting the mark is to make sure you have data to compare. One excellent way to make sure you have a call to action.
A call to action is a statement which tells your reader what to do next. It is the “call now,” “buy now,” or “grab your etc” command.
Couple that with the data from the number of people who have viewed the advertisement - this data is usually provided by the place you buy your advertising space - and you have a percentage to compare with other advertisements.
For example, if you place an advertisement in a internet marketing magazine with a readership of 100,000 and 500 people respond to the ad then you have a 5% response rate. Compare that to an ad that runs for 10 days on a website that has 10,000 views a day and 1000 click through or results in a 10% response rate. If the ads cost the same then you would likely repeat the website advertisement more frequently for a bigger return on investment.
Online advertising can be a huge way to build your income when it is approached strategically and you keep these factors for effective advertising tips on hand.

What is a Good Affiliate Program?
A great affiliate program can make the difference between making pennies and making a lot of good income from your affiliate recommendations. This is especially true if you are new to affiliate marketing and need a little hand-holding and support to get you started.
Here are three quick starter tips to get you started on the right start.
A rock solid product:
It’s best if you’ve had a chance to experience the product you are considering promoting first hand. This is often much easier with inexpensive e-books and other products with a low price point. If you can’t afford a product that you’d really like to promote, don’t be shy about asking the affiliate manager for a review copy. You may not always get a positive response, but it’s worth it to ensure your recommendations are always solid.
A Great reputation
Do make a practice of being meticulous in researching the products and companies you plan to suggest. A quick search should ensure that the products you are taking into account have a solid reputation for quality and customer service. You don’t want to erode the trust that others have placed in you by recommending those with doubtful histories. If it’s a new product or company, and you’re new to affiliate marketing, it’s likely best to pass unless you have a personal connection to the founders that assures you of their integrity.
Do they provide more than just a link to a sales page to help you promote the product?
A sales page might be a fine start if you’re an knowledgeable affiliate marketer, but most newcomers need more promotion resources. Look for programs that provide you with graphics, sample emails, reprint articles and special reports. In other words, look for programs that provide marketing support and resources.

How to build passive income on the internet
Anyone and everyone that comes to the internet looking for a way of making money online mainly has the same intention of selling something physical or on eBay for example. as the only way to make money online. However few fail to realize that many online and a lot of internet marketer are making a full time income through passive income.
Well what is passive income you might ask?
Passive income is anyway to make money online that requires you to put in the work one time only through different methods and over time continually being able to see the fruits of all your hard work come from that one method. There are many ways online now to make passive income. And this is something that is great for anyone that does not have a lot time to invest in a product business and want to get started right away with something.
Building a passive income online however takes time and does require some work. So don’t think that if you throw up a site that they will come because it never works that way. It takes persistence and knowledge to know exactly what market you are going to promote and exactly what will sell.
To begin with there are quite a few ways to make passive income online in any market and some of the ways to do so include.
- Affiliate marketing- affiliate marketing includes selling other peoples products on your site w/ text links and mentions in your blogs posts and email etc to your subscriber base. This method does takes time however many have set up complete sites with nothing but mentions of other companies products for a commission.
- E-books- is another way of making a passive income online. Selling information online will always be around and people on internet are constantly searching for how to information. So why not create something that you are knowledgeable about and sell it .Of course you will need an ebook system to deliver them so I encourage you use wahmcart.
- Audios- many have online radio shows and podcast and promote teleseminars, so why not over time with the old shows and information that is still relevant. Package it all into a system or sell them one by one for the information in a complete system.
- Videos- are another way to make money online, if you can create videos and some sort how to tutorial and teaching material sell that information as a product or as a membership site.
- Membership sites - with only how to reports to great learning materials is a great passive way to build income over time.

What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing basically means selling other people’s products for a commission online.

As an affiliate marketer you will research and find products to promote on your website. Each time you make a sale through your affiliate link you will earn a portion of that sale. The commissions can vary from as low as 7% to a generous 50%.
The sales are tracked through your unique affiliate ID which is assigned to you at the time you sign up for a specific affiliate program. Your unique affiliate ID is tracked and each time a sale is made through your link it is recorded. A good affiliate program will give you plenty of tools for promoting their products as well as a comprehensive member’s area where you can track your affiliate sales and commissions.
Affiliate marketing is a good way to get started online. You can be set up and ready to go within a few days and there is no need to spend any time creating your own products or purchasing inventory. You are simply promoting other people’s products.
That is why my friend Angela wills will be conducting a free webinar on Affiliate Marketing and Managing your own affiliate program. This webinar is completely free, however the room is limited to only 100 people so it is first come basis to be able to enter the webinar room.
Here are some of the things that will be taught in the webinar!
- how to choose an affiliate program for you products

To start an affiliate program is one thing. To run an successful program is quite another. A successful affiliate program does not run on its on and in order for it to be a true profit maker, it must be run with efficiency.
The start of an affiliate program can be exciting but without the proper tools, resources, and know how it is bound to go no where very fast. There are many affiliate programs that are running on air. People sign up to be an affiliate, grab a button and put it on their site, and wait for the profit to roll in. When nothing does, they take the button off and forget that the program exist.
Graphics just don’t get it anymore , Sure they have their place as all images do. People love to look at something pretty and appealing but like a pretty piece of fruit that is rotten on the inside, they have to wonder if they bite what will they really get.
In order for an affiliate program to be successful there must be proven techniques and valuable training available so that your affiliates can learn how to properly apply what they learn. Training tools and resources like articles, blog posts, emails, brandable reports, audios, and videos can benefit any affiliate program. By instructing your affiliates and providing them with the tools to carry out the instruction, a profitable partnership can emerge.
However, you may find that you yourself need some training to help you out. You know, something like a Train the Trainer program. Those type of training programs can cost a pretty penny.
I have recently discovered a 26 week membership program that will help you become a successful affiliate program manager. As a member of Affiliate Commotion, you receive tools, resources, and other goodies to help you save time and increase profit. The great thing about this membership is that it is the cost for learning these valuable tools, is quite affordable; making the chance to learn, grow, and run an affiliate program a reality.
In order to provide quality service to you, the team over at Affiliate Commotion is only accepting 100 members and then the membership is closed until further notice. You can start your path to affiliate program management success today by simply clicking here and find your more about the program.
When you think about all it takes to run an affiliate program and that fact that you may be spinning your wheels when you really don’t have to, wouldn’t it be great to be a part of something that can really show you how to do this affiliate thing right.
There are many things that cans make or break an affiliate program and the way it is managed. Things like not providing superior support for your affiliates, not providing fresh promotional tools like rich media ads, blog posts, or product reviews, or not providing fair compensation to your affiliates can cause you to lose more than you could gain with the right program in place.
With Affiliate Commotion the ease of running the right affiliate program is right before you. You don’t have to be a slave to your affiliate program. With Affiliate Commotion and a little motivation, your days of leaving money on the table can soon be behind you.
Don’t hesitate to make a proactive change for a successful affiliate program.
