Getting Backlinks To Your Site: Some Quick Tips

Welcome back!

When you are growing a business online it can very helpful to get links from other blogs and sites. Getting backlinks to your site as I mentioned in an earlier post helps your site to get on the first page of search engines like Google and yahoo. Google the more so because they place a high value on how many links are coming to your site.

So how do you cash in on this traffic and get those links pointing at you benefiting your site. Well for one you can get opt to do link exchanges where you can contact the owner of the site and ask if they would be willing to do a link exchange with you. But a word of caution should be taken with link exchanges, if you do this try to only get links in the same or complimentary niche as you.

For example if you have a site about dog training, you will want to get links from sites that cater to dog training or sell dog equipment. You do not want a link exchange from a site that sells boats; it just does not look natural to Google when you are doing a link exchange.

Although link exchanges is not something that is used much these days it still holds it place depending on what page you are trying to link to.

Another way to backlinks to your site is mass syndicate your content across the internet with your Rss Feeds. Many Social networking sites like facebook, myspace, even squidoo allow you to post content and publish your Rss Feeds on their platform. Just Think of all the ways that you can generate a mass amount of backlinks in a short amount of time with Rss feed submissions.    facebook notes

Whenever you get an account in any of those social networking sites you can also get a link back from your profile signatures. This is a great way to get indexed quick and get traffic all at the same time. When you are active in these online groups you are able to get a lot more links while at the same building your web presence.

Commenting on blogs is another way that you can get quick links to your blogs, keep in mind that when you do post comments to blogs try not to keep linking to your domain name. Switch it up a bit and place links to individual pages on your domain. Remember Google ranks pages not domain names.

Another way to get links to your site is to publish content on sites like squidoo, wordpress.com, and blogger blogs which are feeder sites that you can set up to write content on that gives will give links back your niche sites. I do not spend too much time on these but they do have their place when it comes to generating links.

One of the best methods of getting links is getting other blogs to link back to you within the content on of their site. Nicole Dean has an awesome workbook that teaches you how to set up and get other blogs to link to you. A must read for anyone that wants a system on learning how to do this.

You can learn more about Guest blogging here.

You should also start writing articles and submitting them to article directories like ezine, isnare, and go articles. These sites will help your site to get indexed quicker and allow for people to find your content and publish it on their site with a link back to your, now how simple is that.

These are a few different ones that I use to generate links back to my site on an ongoing basis.

P.S. A I mentioned earlier you can use Nicole Deans book of generating links to your site and you can learn more about that here - Guest Blogging workbook or can read my review of  Lynn Terry’s 5OOO Backlink building Product.
