You might ask who are the right online advertisers for your site?
The right advertisers are people and businesses which offer your customers and visitors a better user experience. They add value to your website. This means they’re complimentary to your site. Complimentary websites are those which compliment your business or add to the experience.
For example, if you sell coffee then a complimentary business might be a company which sells biscotti or gourmet coffee cream. Consider what your customer might need before and after they make a purchase from you.
Another example of a complimentary website might be if you own a nail supply business where you sell nails, nail design products would compliment your business nicely.
Well how do you find the right internet advertisers?
If you have a blog or forums take a look at who your visitors are. Many of them might be website business owners who are perfect advertising candidates.

What about sites you link to? Presumably there are websites in your industry you refer your customers and website visitors to, websites that offer great products or services and are not in direct competition with you. These are ideal websites to approach for potential advertising space.
Look for up and coming websites. Most new web businesses are hungry for traffic. While they may not be able to pay high advertising rates, they may be a great place to start. Once you can show larger businesses that advertising on your site will produce a substantial return on investment, you can demand higher advertising rates.
Next, look at the people who contact you. Many webmaster receive frequent communications from customers, visitors, and potential partners. Analyze each email to see if they are a potential advertiser too. They already know your business and have an interest in your products or services which makes them a likely candidate.
The right internet advertisers for your website are well worth a little effort on your part. When you find web advertisers who your customers and visitors are interested in you win because you offer a better customer experience and you reap profits from advertising on the internet.
